Paid placements are labelled

Ads and sponsored spots on the website and in the newsletter are marked "Local advertiser", "Sponsored" or "Paid placement". Sponsored business features are labelled the same way.

Rankings aren't for sale

Our Best of Welland guides are editorial. A business can't pay to move up a ranking. If a business in a guide is also a sponsor, it's labelled Sponsored on that page, and its place in the ranking doesn't change.

Events are free to list

We don't charge to list an event in the calendar or the newsletter.

How we advertise Welland Weekly

We run ads on Facebook and Instagram to tell more people in Welland about the newsletter. To measure those ads, the site uses the Meta Pixel, which is explained in our Privacy policy.

Tips

Readers can leave a tip through Buy Me a Coffee. Tips are optional and don't buy coverage. We sometimes thank supporters by name in the newsletter.
